The city of Aurora is continually seeking qualified, temporary Field/Gym Supervisors
Applicants should be available for flexible days, times and locations.
This position is a temporary position and not benefit eligible at this time.
The City of Aurora will conduct ongoing screenings of applications through November 18; as soon as we determine to have a qualified pool of applicants, this position may close quickly and without notice.
- PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and tear down of field/gym.
- Supervise 1-6 staff per shift.
- Oversee games/practices at facility.
- Train parent volunteers.
- Work with officials and hall/field monitors to ensure games run smoothly.
- Enforce all Youth Sports rules at facility.
- Handle any problems or concerns during the games.
- Complete daily paperwork.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old, mainly weekend, and evening hours. Customer service and sports background preferred.
Knowledge of the following sports helpful:
- Flag Football
- Baseball & Softball
- WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Moderate physical work including the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs; Standing for extended periods of time (4-6 hours); Hand eye coordination to wield a tennis racquet, vision to correct participant mistakes; hearing and speech to communicate with participants, employees, and citizens.
Work Environment: Recreation Center/Sports Complex, Outdoors Inclement weather with noise and dust
